๐ŸŽญ When Amber Tells Anthony She Doesn’t Like Shayla Putting Her Relationship Before Kai! ๐Ÿ’”๐Ÿ‘ถ

[Scene opens in a softly lit living room. Amber is gently massaging Anthony’s shoulders while Kai sleeps upstairs.]

Anthony:

He’s finally asleep. Gave you a lot of trouble?

Amber (smiles softly):

Of course not. You know Kai is a sweetheart.

Anthony:

Mm, that feels good… a little to the left—right there.

But something is giving you trouble, isn’t it?

Amber (sighs, the smile fading):

Yeah… and you know what it is.

I hate the feeling that Shayla is putting her relationship before Kai.

Anthony (turning slightly):

What makes you say that?

Amber:

What you mean what?

Asking us to watch him more. Dropping him off late. Not checking in enough.

I’m just saying.

Kai is such a sweet baby… he deserves both his parents fully present, not just one.

Anthony:

So you think she’s putting him on the back burner?

Amber:

Exactly!

Look, he’s not even my biological child, but I can’t imagine having a baby and leaving him all the time… for a man. That’s wild to me.

I think about David every day — wondering where he is, what he’s doing…

So if Kai was my blood?

Whew… it would be a whole different story.

Anthony (quietly):

I can see where you’re coming from. And you’re absolutely entitled to feel that way.

You’re my wife — I trust your instincts. You notice things I don’t always pick up on.

Amber (soft but serious):

And I definitely see it.

Anthony:

But you know what I am grateful for?

Right now… that little boy is upstairs in our home, safe, sleeping.

And you, my wife… are right here with me.

God has a plan for everything. He’ll work it out.

Amber (nods):

That’s true.

Anthony:

Honestly… I’d rather him be here with us than around God-knows-who.

Amber (light laugh):

Exactly.

Anthony (smiles, tugging her closer):

Come on.

Let’s go put something on TV and cuddle up while he’s asleep —

’cause you know he likes to wake up in the middle of the night.

Amber (laughs softly):

Don’t remind me.

[They walk toward the couch together, lights dimming as the scene closes.]
