1. Bethany’s Suspicion
Bethany: “Who were you talking to just now? I saw you duck into the bedroom.”
Larry: “No one important. Just a work thing.”
Bethany: “Work thing at this hour? Really?”
Larry: “Yeah… just a quick thing. Nothing to worry about.”
(Bethany doesn’t push further, but the tension lingers. Larry waits until she leaves the room before making his move.)
2. Larry Meets Sharra – Private Moment
Sharra: “So… you really going to help me?”
Larry: “I’ll give you what you need. But Bethany can’t know. Not yet.”
Sharra: “You think I’m gonna make it easy for you? I know the drill, Larry.”
Larry: “It’s not about making it easy… it’s about protecting everyone. This has to be quiet.”
(He slides an envelope across the counter. Sharra’s eyes widen.)
Sharra: “Wow… you’re actually doing it?”
Larry: “Yeah… just take it. But don’t get greedy. Keep it simple.”
Sharra: “Greedy? Nah… I’m just smart.”
(She takes the money, tucking it into her bag. Relief shows on her face… but a plan is already forming.)
3. Bethany Finds Out
(Later, Bethany discovers the envelope Larry accidentally left on the counter. Her eyes widen.)
Bethany: “Oh… no. He… he gave her money?”
Bethany: “Sharra. We need to talk. Now.”
4. Sharra at Larry’s House – Tense Confrontation
Bethany: “So this is it? You just take the money and run?”
Sharra: “I didn’t run anywhere. I came here like a grown woman. What’s your problem?”
Bethany: “My problem? My problem is my husband gave you money behind my back!”
Sharra: “Behind your back? You mean in private? That’s the same thing.”
Bethany: “No! You don’t get to come in here and act innocent! You want his money and you don’t care about us!”
Sharra: “Careful, Bethany… or you’ll make this messier than it already is.”
Bethany: “Messy? You think I’m scared of you? Larry’s mine, and you overstep, you’ll regret it.”
Sharra: “Mine? Really? You didn’t see this coming when he handed it over?”
Bethany: “That’s it. You’re leaving. Now.”
Sharra: “Leave? Not without making my point clear. I didn’t take it to cause trouble, but… he gave me that money for a reason.”
Bethany: “Reason? The only reason is YOU. You always want something!”
Sharra: “I think about me, because I have to. Not everyone is perfect, Bethany.”
Bethany: “Perfect? You think this is perfect? He trusted you… and you—”
Sharra: “Trusted me? He trusted himself to make a decision. Don’t act like you’re the only one he listens to.”
(Both women are inches apart. The tension is unbearable.)
5. The First Strike of Aggression
Bethany: “Enough talking. Step back before this goes too far.”
Sharra: “Step back? I don’t think so. You wanna play tough? Fine. But don’t make this about me. Make it about him.”
Bethany: “You will NOT manipulate him through me!”
Sharra: “Manipulate? Girl, I didn’t manipulate. He chose. And deep down, you know it.”
(The room feels charged, like electricity before a storm. The fight could erupt any second.)
6. Cliffhanger / Open Ending
(Suddenly, Larry walks in, seeing both women facing off.)
Larry: “Stop. Both of you. This is getting out of hand—”
Bethany: “No! You gave her money behind my back! You think I’ll just let this slide?”
Sharra: “Relax, Bethany… it’s not over yet.”
(The envelope with money still sits on the table. The tension is electric. Who will walk away? Will anyone give in? The answer hangs in suspense.)
