STAND ON BUSINESS
Amber Dalton — The Restaurant Takeover
Camera opens on an EMPTY restaurant.
Chairs are flipped upside down on tables like a forgotten memory.
The lights flicker softly, half-dim, half-alive.
The kitchen is quiet — too quiet.
A refrigerator hums louder than the room itself.
A single fly circles, buzzing, desperate for something to land on.
“See… this what I was talkin’ about. Ain’t nobody eatin’ here but memories.”
The front door creaks open slowly.
AMBER steps inside.
Her heels echo against the floor.
She wears a clean, tailored suit — sharp, controlled.
Her hair is pulled back tight.
Her eyes scan every corner.
She doesn’t rush. She doesn’t speak. She owns the silence.
THE FAKE POWER
From the kitchen doorway, SHANA appears.
She wipes her hands slowly, like she still runs this place.
“I didn’t know you were coming today.”
“I don’t announce myself in my own building.”
ANTHONY leans against the bar, arms crossed, watching everything.
“We’re still preparing for the re-grand opening. These things take time.”
Amber walks toward a table.
She runs her finger across it.
Dust sticks to her skin.
“Time didn’t shut this place down.”
Decisions did.
RECEIPTS DON’T LIE
Amber pulls her phone out slowly.
She’s not angry.
She’s prepared.
“Three weeks. No marketing.”
“Two weeks. No soft launch.”
Zero customers.
“You told me to run the restaurant!”
“I told you to grow it.”
“You babysat it until it starved.”
Anthony lets out a small laugh.
Wayne shakes his head.
WAYNE TELLS THE TRUTH
“Last time I came here… I ordered hope and left hungry.”
“I even brought my appetite back… still ain’t find nothin’.”
The staff exchange uncomfortable looks.
SABOTAGE COMES TO LIGHT
KEYSHA steps forward nervously.
“Suppliers been calling… saying orders got canceled.”
“But we never canceled them.”
The room goes quiet.
Amber slowly turns toward Shana.
“You wanna explain that?”
Shana says nothing.
POWER SHIFT
Amber walks toward the stage.
“This space was dead.”
“But it won’t be.”
“I bought it.”
The words hang heavy in the air.
THE SUSPENSE
“Re-grand opening.”
48 hours.
“Whether you’ll be working it…”
“Or attending it…”
We’ll decide.
Amber turns and walks out.
The door closes behind her.
Shana stands frozen.
“SHANA… YOU’RE FIRED?”
