Bethany, Larry & Sharra — The Montana Secret

BETHANY SEES THE TRUTH

One Mall. One Secret. And a Montana decision that changes everything.

The Mall

Mall lights glinted off polished floors, but Bethany’s eyes saw only one thing — Larry and Sharra together. The sight hit her like a storm she wasn’t prepared for. Montana plans suddenly felt very real… and very personal.

Larry and Sharra moved through the mall with a familiarity that spoke of shared history. They stepped in and out of boutiques, hands brushing, shopping bags growing heavier — winter jackets, boots, travel essentials. Everything screamed Montana.

Bethany Watches

Bethany froze across the wide corridor. She had come to clear her head, but instead found her heart racing louder than the mall music.

SHARRA: This one will be perfect. Montana weather doesn’t play around. LARRY: Yeah… winters there are rough.

Bethany’s stomach dropped. Is he taking her? Is this why he’s been distant?

Silence Outside Her Apartment

Later, Bethany sat in her car outside her apartment, engine off. Silence pressed in.

Her phone buzzed — Larry’s name flashed. She didn’t answer.

She replayed the mall scene again and again — Sharra’s laughter, the coats, Larry’s smile.

This won’t be easy… not this time.

Larry & Sharra

Meanwhile, Larry stood in his kitchen, phone in hand, tension etched across his face. Sharra scrolled quietly on her tablet.

SHARRA: She didn’t pick up? LARRY: No. Straight to voicemail. SHARRA: You knew this was coming. You can’t keep everyone in the dark forever. LARRY: I’m not ready for that conversation. SHARRA: You don’t get to decide when people find out. Especially not Bethany.

Jaden Gets Involved

Across town, Jaden reviewed documents in his office when his phone buzzed.

TEXT: We need to talk about Larry. JADEN: Who is this? TEXT: Someone who knows what he’s planning.

Suspicion crept in. Larry’s excuse — “business mixed with personal matters” — no longer fit.

The Confrontation

BETHANY: I saw you. LARRY: Saw me where? BETHANY: At the mall. With Sharra. Shopping for Montana.

Silence stretched.

BETHANY: Are you taking her with you?

Larry hesitated — and that hesitation said everything.

BETHANY: I knew it. You were never going to tell me. LARRY: It’s complicated. BETHANY: It always is with you.

Jaden Shows Up

Later that day, Jaden stood at Larry’s door.

JADEN: We need to talk. About Montana. And about Sharra. LARRY: Who told you? JADEN: So it’s true.

From the hallway, Sharra listened silently.

JADEN: You were going to take her… and thought no one would find out? LARRY: I didn’t say that. JADEN: You didn’t say you weren’t.

The room fell silent. Outside, dark clouds gathered — as if the sky itself was waiting for something to break.
