Bethany Confronts Larry About the Car

Sometimes betrayal doesn’t arrive quietly — it storms in, demanding answers.

INT. LIVING ROOM – DAY

Bethany storms into the living room, her footsteps sharp and angry. Larry sits on the sofa, scrolling through his phone, unaware that peace is about to shatter.

BETHANY (angry, pointing): You gave Sharra a car! You actually gifted her a car, didn’t you?

LARRY (confused, shaking his head): I… I didn’t. Bethany, I swear, I didn’t give her anything like that.

Bethany folds her arms tightly, pacing the room. Her jaw clenches with every step.

BETHANY: Then how come she has it? Where did she even get it?

LARRY (stammering): I… I don’t know. I don’t— I never—

Bethany stops suddenly and leans closer. Her voice drops, calm but dangerous.

BETHANY (coldly): Don’t lie to me, Larry. I know you gave it to her.

LARRY (frustrated): Beth… I promise. Ask anyone. Check the paperwork. I didn’t buy it. I didn’t co-sign.

Bethany’s phone buzzes. She reads the message, eyes narrowing.

BETHANY (reading): “Brooke says she saw the car in Sharra’s driveway. Paid for by Larry.”

LARRY (muttering): What? No… that’s not possible…

BETHANY (shouting): You can’t deny everything, Larry! How did she even get it?

INT. LARRY’S OFFICE – MOMENTS LATER

Larry paces on the phone, his hand trembling slightly.

LARRY (into phone): Brooke… listen. Sharra has a car. Do you know how?

LARRY (shocked): Wait—WHAT? She got it from… how?

Bethany watches from the doorway, disbelief and anger burning in her eyes.

BETHANY (sarcastic): Oh, now you believe me?

LARRY: Beth, I swear! She borrowed it somehow. I didn’t pay, I didn’t sign—nothing!

BETHANY: Borrowed? Larry, she doesn’t need to arrange anything if you’re helping her behind my back.

Bethany grabs her purse and heads for the door.

BETHANY: I’m going to get the truth from Brooke. And if this isn’t a mistake… you’ll pay for it.

Larry stands frozen, panic written across his face.

LARRY (to himself): How did this even happen?

Bethany walks down the hallway, phone in hand — determination burning in her eyes.
