Miles on the old truck. Constant driving with Kai. Safety. Growth.
On the surface, it was practical. Underneath — it was emotional.

Iman didn’t say no — but he didn’t say yes.
He asked questions. Why now? What was the real reason?
He admitted it wasn’t a “yes right now.”

“Are You Having Financial Troubles?”
The question landed sharper than intended.
He denied it — but the implication lingered.
If it wasn’t money, then what was it?
He talked about having a lot on his plate, responsibilities at home.
The truck was no longer the issue — bandwidth and boundaries were.

Shayla eased back — but not fully.
No rush. Go to the lot together. She wouldn’t do it without him.
Compromise wrapped in reassurance.
