THE CALL
Police lights flash outside Jaden’s window. His hands tremble as he dials his father’s number.
JADEN: Dad… the police took Mom.
Larry freezes on the other end of the line.
LARRY: What are you talking about?
JADEN: They arrested her… please come to Montana.
SHOCK AND SILENCE
Larry stands up so quickly his chair crashes behind him.
LARRY: Are you alone right now?
JADEN: Yes… they just drove away.
Jaden looks at the empty driveway, tears forming in his eyes.
LARRY: Lock the doors. I’m coming.
THE RUSH TO MONTANA
Early morning. Larry moves quickly through the airport, anxiety written across his face.
He types a message: “Boarding now. Stay strong.”
Hours later, he steps into the cold Montana air and sees Jaden waiting.
JADEN: I didn’t know what to do.
LARRY: You did the right thing calling me.
THE TRUTH BEHIND BARS
Inside the police station, the air feels heavy. Lynette sits behind a glass divider.
LYNETTE: It’s a misunderstanding.
LARRY: Handcuffs don’t usually come from misunderstandings.
Jaden presses his hand against the glass.
JADEN: Mom… are you coming home?
Lynette forces a smile, but her eyes reveal fear.
DOUBTS AND SECRETS
Outside the station, wind sweeps across the empty parking lot.
JADEN: Dad… is she hiding something?
Larry stares back at the building, uneasy.
LARRY: I don’t know. But we’re going to find out.
He pulls out his phone and calls a lawyer.
A STORM IS COMING
Night falls over Montana. In a small hotel room, father and son sit in silence.
JADEN: I just want Mom home.
LARRY: And she will be. No matter what it takes.
But deep down, Larry senses this is bigger than they realize.
The arrest was only the beginning… and the truth waiting in Montana may change their family forever.
